Dr Julie Dean

Research Associate

Julie is a research associate involved part-time with the Care after Stillbirth program at the Centre of Research Excellence in Stillbirth. Julie’s role focuses on supporting the adaptation of the Living with Loss online program to meet the needs of parents who experience early pregnancy loss and subsequent pregnancy.

With a background in community psychology, she is particularly interested in approaches that centre lived experience, strengthen connection, and expand access to meaningful support beyond clinical settings. Julie is excited to contribute to a project that integrates evidence-informed practice with parent perspectives, and hopes this work will continue to build on the strengths of Living with Loss to enhance accessible, compassionate, and community-based support for bereaved parents.
