Our work

The Care Around Stillbirth and Neonatal Death (CASaND) research program of the Stillbirth CRE focuses on improving perinatal loss care for parents and families following the loss of a baby in Australia and internationally. Our work is guided by the framework below that highlights the importance of holistic and continued care to meet the varied needs of bereaved parents and families.

The Stillbirth CRE and partners have developed a range of evidence-based resources for parents and healthcare professionals. Resources have been developed across the continuum of care including information to support decision-making at the time a baby dies, an online support program for when parents have returned home and may be looking at different types of ongoing support, and opportunities to become involved in research in the future.
